NZ Marist Executive Committee Member, Taupō Marist President Manager
Roschelle Ormsby has been a proud member and supporter of Taupō Marist since 2019, becoming deeply involved in all aspects of club life across both the senior and junior sectors. A passionate advocate for community rugby, Roschelle’s connection to the club is very much a family affair. Her children have proudly progressed through the Taupō Marist junior grades, while her husband, Jermaine Ormsby, is a founding member of the Taupō Marist Premier side. Jermaine has also dedicated many years to developing young players within the club, coaching across the junior grades from Under 9 through to Under 13 level. Throughout her time with Taupō Marist, Roschelle has held several roles, with much of her involvement spent as the club’s Event and Media Coordinator. Through this role, she has helped promote the achievements of players and teams, coordinate club events, strengthen community engagement, and capture the stories that make Taupō Marist such a special club. Roschelle’s commitment to the Marist movement extends beyond Taupō. For the past four years, she has been actively involved with New Zealand Marist Rugby, where she currently serves on the NZ Marist Executive Board, contributing to the ongoing growth and development of Marist rugby throughout New Zealand. Today, Roschelle continues to serve Taupō Marist as the Manager of the Presidents Team, remaining dedicated to fostering the values of friendship, whānau, camaraderie, and community that sit at the heart of the Marist spirit. With her family deeply embedded within the club and a passion for supporting players, coaches, volunteers, and whānau, Roschelle remains committed to ensuring Taupō Marist continues to thrive both on and off the field for generations to come.
